Necessary Endings

I think of CHRIST dying on the cross for us as a necessary ending... HIS life had to come to an end, so that HE could raise from the tomb and show us that there is life after death.  It is an everlasting life... a life in Heaven... with GOD... with HIM... with all other believers.

This necessary end came to be because it was prophesied in Holy Scripture... in Isaiah: 53: 3 it says: " HE was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering," and in Isaiah 53: 5 "But HE was pierced for our transgressions, HE was crushed for our iniquities."  This describes HIS end on earth with HIS death on the cross.

And then in Isaiah 53:10 it says: "... and though the LORD makes HIS life a guilt offering, HE will see HIS offspring and prolong HIS days."  This is the new beginning after the crucifixion.

So in all necessary endings, there are new beginnings.  And in the ending of CHRIST'S life here on earth, HIS resurrection, and our redemption in HIS blood, there is new life... a new hope!

And so today of all days.... thank HIM.  Remember to seek HIM while in ISAIAH 55: 6 " HE may be found; call on HIM while HE is near."

AND...

ISAIAH: 55: 12 " You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands."

Blessings on your GOOD FRIDAY!
