Happy Spring - Alive in HIM!

Today is the first official day of Spring. I don't know about you, but this past winter seemed to go on forever. It seems like everyone got more snow and cold than what we usually get. Why is it that when you are in the middle of a situation that you don't like, that time seems to stand still? Today when I looked at the calendar my heart skipped a beat. I think seeing the blue sky and warm sunshine put a new spring in my step. I was energized today and felt like I could take on the world. There was a light at the end of a tunnel!

The good news about Spring is that it always comes.....the cold winter eventually gives way to spring flowers, refreshing rain and birds singing. Spring is an example of GOD'S dominion over all the earth. This is evidence of HIS presence in our world and our lives.

Spring is a wonderful example of rebirth and resurrection. GOD'S resurrection of HIS Son is the ultimate example for anyone who believes, that when we die it is not the end. CHRIST died and rose again so that we, as sinners could have eternal life. HE loves us so much that HE would rather die for us, than live without us.

In this season of LENT let us remember why CHRIST died for us......it is a time of waking up......a time of reverence......a time of reflection and being renewed. Let us feel spring's joy in our hearts and minds. Let us give praise to the ONE who is in control. Let us give thanks to the ONE who sends us spring knocking on the door of our hearts. An eternal promise and gift from our wonderful LORD!

JOHN 1: 3-4 "All things came into being through HIM, and apart from HIM nothing came into being that has come into being. In HIM was life, and the life was the Light of men."

I am a wife, mother and Sister in Christ. Although these are important to me, they don't completely define me. I will boast only for Christ. HE alone is my Savior, my Anchor, my Shepherd and my God. I love my daily walk with HIM. HE alone gives me each new day to serve as HIS hands and feet. I am very humbled to be called HIS friend and servant. So therefore, I persevere for HIM. HE alone has given me the hands to author this, the thoughts to inspire this, the eyes to see and the ears to hear HIS still small voice in the night. HIS grace and HIS mercy allows me to realize the prescious gift of walking this earth. And so I continue walking HIS path that has taken me through glorious valleys and majestic mountain tops. HIS love for me and my love for HIM is really all that matters. HE alone knows my heart, my weaknesses and my strengths. And I pray that as I go forth on this journey that HE will never let go of me and that HIS light alone will shine through like rays of sun, shining like crystals on a deep blue sea.
